From washing to drying your swimsuit
After training in the pool, you need to take care of your personal hygiene and clean your swimsuit. Although this might not be as much fun as swimming in the pool, it is the only way to make sure your swimsuit does not wear out too soon.
As soon as you leave the water, rinse your swimsuit in cold water to remove any chlorine or salt water from its fibers.
wash by hand rather than in a washing machine;
use soft neutral soaps;
do not use detergents or bleach.
When drying your swimsuit, keep it away from direct sunlight or heat. Dry your swimsuit on a flat surface rather than hanging up, so the fibers do not stretch or crease.
Do not leave your swimsuit in your bag while it is still damp.
Do not leave your swimsuit to dry in direct sunlight inside a zipped bag.
Be careful with sun creams, body lotions and oils that could damage the elastic fibers and cause your swimsuit to lose its shape.
